Peter Freeman set up Freeman publishing eight years ago with a view to providing
the definitive guide to who's who and what's what in the commercial property world.
The first edition of “Freeman’s Guide to the Property Industry” was published in
in 2000 and the publications moved online in 2001. The online sites are now being
relaunched as “community” based sites, using the principles of collaborative networking,
to provide a low cost information resource that will draw on, and add to, the user
base’s collective knowledge.
Who's Who: The site for “anybody who is anybody” in property –
a free site for anyone who has a completed profile. Signup is free, subject to completing
a profile, and email verification of the details. Access to the site allows the
user to search for individuals based on sector, firm and geographic location
Deals: a comprehensive database of property deals in the UK since
19??, collated from public and industry sources. It will be available to all “Who's
who” members, subject to a small annual subscription, and will operate on “wiki”
principles with users able to add their own deals, and comment on existing ones.
Agentville: an agent to agent collaborative site, whereby details
of available properties and current requirements can be shared with fellow agents.
Membership is open to property Agents only, for a nominal subscription that currently
starts at £100 per annum. Auto-matching of properties and requirements provides
instant introductions to potential deals, and encourages the users to keep their
records up to date.
Who are we?
Peter Freeman – as founder and director of Argent Group PLC, Peter
has an impressive track record in the property industry, most notably for the development
of Brindley Place in Birmingham, and the current redevelopment of Kings Cross. Peter
is also the Chairman of Freeman Business Information and is currently Chairman of
the Investment Property Forum
Christopher McAlpine – Christopher has 20 years experience in the
property sector, latterly as the co-founder and Director of ScreeneData Ltd, which
supplied a database of available office and industrial properties in London and
the South East.
Carina Karwatowski – Carina has over 10 years experience in developing
websites, primarily in the property sector, working for clients such as Freeman
Business Information, Oxford Property Consultants, Propex and ScreeneData.
